Banana Reconditioning Treatment For Dry Hair
Mash one ripe peeled banana with one tablespoon of sunflower oil and a half teaspoon of fresh lime juice. Mix well and apply generously to dry, well-combed hair. Leave for 30 minutes before shampooing as usual.
How It Works: The potassium in bananas helps scalp health; natural sebum-like sunflower oil conditions dry scalp and hair; lime juice helps adjust the scalp’s acid/alkali balance and smooth cuticles to increase shine.
Lime Juice Perm Reviver For Curly Hair
Mix a teaspoon of lime juice with 300ml (1/2 pint) cold water, rinse through the hair before washing.
How it works: Lime juice contains citric acid and oils that contract the cortex of each hair strand to tighten curls without stripping natural oils.
Rum and Egg Conditioner
Mix together an egg yolk, a half teaspoonful of vitamin C powder, and two teaspoons of dark rum. Apply to dry hair, leave for ten minutes, and then wash with a mild shampoo.
How It Works: albumin and lecithin in egg yolk revive hair, rum stimulates the scalp, and vitamin C adjusts the scalp’s acid/alkali balance, encouraging shine.
Frinch Dressing for Tangly Hair
Mix one measure of vinegar with three sunflower oil; work through the hair and leave for five minutes before shampooing and conditioning as usual.
How it works: Vinegar’s acetic acid encourages cuticles to lie flat, and the oil moisturises the hair.
Tomato Sauce Color Corrector
Chlorine in swimming pools often makes lightened hair khaki-ish. Apply a generous dollop of tomato sauce to well-combed, dry hair, massaging well. Leave for 30 minutes, then shampoo.
How it works: the pink tones in the sauce neutralise the khaki. You can also go through skin care and facials
Lemonade Detangler
Chemically treated hair can tangle easily. For a quick fix, pour some lemonade into a clean plant spray and spritz liberally over dry hair, then leave it for five minutes before shampooing and conditioning as usual.
How it works: citric acid closes the cuticle layers and contracts the hair cortex to its pre-damaged state.
Corn Oil for split ends and static prevention
Put a small amount of corn oil into the palms of your hands and smooth down over dry hair, right to the tips. Shampoo as usual.
How it works: Corn oil protects the ends of the hair from the impact of washing and drying.
Mango Winter Restorer
Chop a peeled, ripe mango roughly into a clean bowl. Add a tablespoon of walnut oil and squeeze lemon juice. Mix well with a fork or blender until reasonably smooth. Wrap a bath towel around your neck before applying the mixture evenly all over dry, well-combed hair. After 30 minutes, rinse thoroughly, then shampoo as normal.
How it works: the combination of minerals, vitamins and trace elements in the mango, plus the concentrated scalp massage, stimulates the scalp and follicles.
Apple cider vinegar For Itchy Scalp
Take one cup of water, mix it with half a cup of apple cider vinegar, and apply it to the hair after cleansing it thoroughly. Leave it for 10 minutes, then rinse it with cold water. This trick will save you hundreds of bucks and add shine and bounce to your hair. Try this remedy one day before an event.
Aavocado Hair Mask
This magic ingredient can be mixed with additional ingredients according to your needs. Some of the mixtures of ingredients can be used: avocado and honey, avocado, banana and a few drops of almond oil. These masks can be massaged for 5-10 minutes and left for half an hour, then follow the regular wash routine. This makes your hair super soft and shiny, and these ingredients are gentle enough to be used on children.
